Govt. Driving Training School, Bhubaneswar is functioning under Commerce & Transport Deptt., Govt. of Odisha since 01/03/1974 with the primary aim to impart LMV Driving Training to un-employed youth, who intend to take driving as a career. Now, it is also functioning as a nodal agency in imparting LMV Driving Training to un-employed youth of BPL/SC/ST/Women category through empanelled Private Driving Training Institutes of the State, funded by Odisha State Employment Mission.

Scheme for imparting LMV Driving Training to youth belonging to BPL/ SC/ ST/ Women of the State of Odisha:

Commerce & Transport Deptt, Govt. of Odisha vide Resolution No. 4267-LC-TR-55/2014(Pt)/T Dt.22/07/2014 with partial modification vide Notification No. LC-TR-55/2014(Pt)8644/T Dt.20/12/2014 have published the complete scheme for imparting LMV Driving Training to youth belonging to BPL/ SC/ ST/ Women of the State of Odisha through empanelled Driving Training Institutes of the State.
