The Crew Training Institute, Chandabali is the only Government Institute started its functioning since the year 1979 under the administrative control of Commerce & Transport Department, Government of Odisha.
This Institute imparts training programme of inland vessels to the crews and unemployed youth of the state for operation and maintenance of inland vessels.
The students who have completed the above courses are skilled in nature and employed as Launch Driver, Serang, Seacunny, Boatman and Launch Khalasi etc. in various Departments of Govt. viz; Revenue & DM, Forest, Water Resources, Fisheries & ARD, Health & FW etc. and Inland Vessels of Coast Guard, Naval & Ports sectors.
Course Offered
- 10 (Ten) Months Regular Course
Intake: 30 Nos students every year (Deck & Engine rating course)
- 03 (Three) Months Refresher Course
Intake: 20 Nos of in-service candidates every year (Deck & Engine rating course)
